Yale Gets a Handle on TS007 Standard /Other/ASSA/ASSA%20ABLOY/Yale/Yale-TS007-handle.jpg Yale has launched a new Premium door handle developed to TS007 2 star security standard, completing its ‘good, better, best’ offering within the replacement PVCu furniture market. TS007 is a standard developed in response to concerns over cylinder attacks and is endorsed by BSI, with compliant products carrying the trusted British Kitemark. Introduced by the Door and Hardware Federation together with the Glass & Glazing Federation, TS007 is designed with the retrofit market in mind, allowing consumers to upgrade their security without replacing the whole door. The standard is characterised by a star rating system, and can be achieved by using a 3 star cylinder alone, or by combining a 1 star cylinder with a 2 star rated security door furniture solution. Yale’s new Platinum stainless steel door handle has been tested to achieve a 2 star standard and when combined with Yale’s popular anti-snap euro profile cylinder, the solution offers the ultimate protection from cylinder manipulation attack. Says Hazel Whittingham, Product Manager for Yale: “The new Platinum security handle with the TS007 stamp of approval is a best in class product, made from marine grade stainless steel which offers the ultimate protection against the elements, as well as providing the best level of protection against cylinder attacks. This adds to our increasing product portfolio of retrofit products which allow customers to increase the security of their doors for complete peace of mind and protection.” Dave Herbert, Head of Marketing at Yale UK added: “The launch of the security handle and door furniture suite shows Yale’s commitment to security, and we are always looking to offer products which meet the latest standards such as TS007. We are already looking forward to launching a cylinder only retrofit solution that can solely achieve 3 star accreditation as part of our new product launches.” For further information on the new Premium range of door furniture, or to stay up to date with Yale’s products and services, please visit www.yale.co.uk.
