Developed on a disused exhibition venue and car park, the site on Blackburn Road, West Hampstead, is set to provide 90 student accommodation units and 25,000sqft of flexible commercial workspace. Designed to encourage investment and employment in the local area, the regeneration project is based on a sustainable redevelopment programme. ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions has supplied a number of security systems and products to the urban regeneration project, set to bring significant environmental benefits to the North West area of London, including its ASSA journal hinges, UNION high security mortice locks, keyULTRA™ cylinders and stainless steel door furniture, plus door closers and timber doorsets from ASSA ABLOY. Supplying products for over 1000 doorsets, ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions developed a bespoke total specification solution that provided the correct balance between accessibility and security at the multi-use venue, which will be used by students, staff and the public. Demonstrating its versatile credentials, ASSA ABLOY supplyed fully painted timber doorsets, in colours to match the interior design scheme, guaranteed a high quality and consistency of finish. This also helped to reduce the amount of labour and hazardous materials required on site ¬– critical on such a large project, with multiple uses in the combination of commercial space and student living.
