Adams Rite, part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, an ASSA ABLOY company, has helped fenestration solutions provider Futuremost achieve PAS24 on its latest product offering.

Submitted to the ASSA ABLOY UKAS accredited test facility, the Futuremost commercial doorset developed with Adams Rite using Smart Systems section technology, successfully completed PAS24 enhanced security performance testing.

The Smart Systems, “Smart-Wall”, aluminium shop front screen and door system, which features polyamide thermal break technology for enhanced thermal performance, was tested with ES8000 V-locks from ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions company Trimec, along with the ARC51N concealed transom closer from Adams Rite.  This resulted in a heavy-duty single door system with electronic access control.

As an enhanced security standard, the PAS24 accreditation certifies that a door assembly can withstand a series of measured manual and mechanical tests simulating common methods of forced entry. Importantly, these tests are carried out on a complete doorset making the relationship between the Adams Rite’s hardware and Futuremost doors crucial.

Commenting on the testing, Richard Lawes OEM Sales Manager for ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, said: “Futuremost as a company has achieved a lot of success in the commercial and residential sector, but the addition of PAS24 accreditation on some of its most innovative door solutions really helps to provide them with a competitive edge.

“To operate in a commercial environment it is becoming increasingly important to not only provide doorset solutions, as opposed to individual products, but to also ensure these solutions are tested to the relevant industry standards. Here, at Adams Rite we are pleased to offer the expertise to help develop these solutions, the hardware products required and the group testing resource to independently accredit the final product.”

Ray Vickers, Sales Manager for Futuremost Ltd., added: “Adams Rite provided us with the support to achieve a very successful end result.

“It now allows us at Futuremost to satisfy the demand we have from many of our clients, particularly on blocks of apartments, to be able to provide a more secure electric release entrance door. The Smart Wall system also satisfies the demand for the communal entrance doors to match to a Dual Colour scheme on a build.”

Adams Rite is the leading supplier of aluminium door locking, electric locking and escape devices, supplying the top OEM door manufacturers worldwide. The company is part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, a division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions.
