Abloy UK has expanded its already extensive training programme by adding a new course for 2012.

Held at the purpose built ASSA ABLOY Academy in Willenhall, the new Foundations Plus course is specially designed for delegates who have attended the existing Foundations course and understood the implications of the Constructions Product Directive, Regulatory Reform Order and the implications of specifications to the BS/EN standards. Also a natural starting point for those with an existing knowledge of standards and regulations.

The ASSA ABLOY Academy includes a fully equipped classroom, showroom and workshop, where customers can attend product presentations, specification seminars and practical installation training.

Abloy UK is running a full calendar of events throughout 2012 aimed at installers, security managers, lock centres, specifiers and end-users. Courses range from an introduction to doorset specification to hands-on training in electric and mechanical locks, and specification seminars on security solutions for health and education facilities.

Jon Burke, Marketing Manager for Abloy, said:

"The new programme of events for 2012 as well as the creation of the Foundations Plus course, is testament to the popularity of the academy, with industry professionals continuing to reap the benefits. With a packed schedule for the year ahead, we are looking forward to maintaining our reputation for driving the industry forward through standards and legislation."
