ASSA ABLOY is exhibiting its brand new CLIQ Remote system at this year’s IFSEC show, demonstrating the very latest in user-friendly, web-based security management.

Part of the CLIQ Protec range, CLIQ Remote is designed for larger master key suites or remote sites, enabling the commissioning, programming and full administration of security management centrally via web-based software, often eliminating the need to service locks on site.

The software, which automates key security, allows for additional data, such as valid times and authorisations, to be written to keys remotely and automatically updates and records audit trails.

Plus, the secured data between database and remotely updated keys is protected from corruption, manipulation and information theft using highly secure encryption.

Based on solid mechanical security, with patented protection, vast key combinations of 200 groups and 65,535 individual key combinations and hardened steel protection, supported by a layer of electronic security, CLIQ Remote provides a new level of high security.

CLIQ Remote can also assist in security policy management, administration and budgeting. Enforced key updates, the deletion of lost or stolen keys, reduced time schedules and a rationalised number of reusable keys for use by contractors or similar visitors make it a cost effective and secure solution.

Hitesh Mistry, Product and Market Development Manager for ASSA ABLOY Access Control, said: “CLIQ Remote is ideal for large organisations, as it creates scalable, centralised and automated security management. The system also delivers cost savings, with less need for person-to-person contact for key updates, which reduces administration requirements and helps to eliminate theft of items within an organisation, creating a more efficient and flexible workforce. Plus, the software is web based which means it can be access from virtually anywhere. This is a highly secure web based connection and provides management of a master key system centrally.”

CLIQ Remote can be used with mechanical and CLIQ locks and a weather resistant IP57 padlock is also available, providing comprehensive security cover and a more complete security system.

To further reduce costs for building owners and companies, current CLIQ Protec systems can be easily migrated to the Remote system.
