At ASSA ABLOY we value opinions, input and feedback. That’s why our global employee survey, performed globally every two years, is such an important tool.

The most recent ASSA ABLOY Employee Survey, conducted in2014, attracted a very good response rate of 89 % through-out the Group globally.

Results from the employee survey in the UK

Given our philosophy of freedom to act and learning from our mistakes, it is particularly pleasing that the highest ranking in the latest survey concerned clear understanding of roles and responsibilities and expectations on performance.

Feedback about the level of innovation and customer focus was also more positive, reflecting our focus areas for business growth.

New communication strategies

In the UK, we have implemented additional executive level communication strategies throughout our region to strengthen the channels for communication and to ensure that all employees are well informed about the business and are fully engaged in achieving our objectives.

Culture and communication in focus with new team

As a direct result of the employee survey feedback a new team has been established in order for us to focus on culture and communications. This will help us to build a sense of community within the business and also to ensure that employees are fully briefed on business performance and key changes. We are confident that this initiative will ensure that employees have maximum clarity and direction and will fully appreciate their contribution to the business within the roles that they perform.
