ASSA ABLOY doorXpert smartphone app
ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, a division of ASSA ABLOY has introduced the ASSA ABLOY doorXpert app designed to aid door class specification.
Designed to assist architects, specifiers and contractors working on healthcare and education projects, the ASSA ABLOY doorXpert application software determines the correct class of door needed, based on its usage and according to BS EN 1191 and BS EN 12400.
Based on the extensive research conducted by ASSA ABLOY, the app accurately identifies the number of times a door will be used, per month, year and within a specified project lifespan and uses this to recommend the most cost effective door solution.
Enabling end users to make a more informed choice, the ASSA ABLOY doorXpert app requires users to enter the project environment, the area within the environment, such as nurses’ room or treatment area, and the targeted project lifespan. As well as analysing the door usage and instantly providing the recommended door solution, the app also advises on when the door will need replacing.
ASSA ABLOY doorXpert is a user-friendly app designed, not only to speed up and simplify the specification process, but also in response to the increasing pressure on architects and contractors to meet with strict budgets and lifespan targets, especially when working on projects funded or part-funded by the Government.
Available for use with most popular smartphones, the ASSA ABLOY doorXpert app provides users with a fully comprehensive library of door solutions, with add-on features and further developments to be announced.
