The purpose of this seminar is to explain the differences between a door assembly and a doorset. The CPD demonstrates the benefits of doorsets and analyses the impact of 2013 CE marking changes on doorsets and door assembles. This seminar also identifies the standards affecting CE marked doorsets.

The Future of Aluminium Door Locking, Electric Locking and Escape Devices – Regulatory Compliance: Myths and Reality (Adams Rite)

The seminar examines some of the standards and regulations that relate to exit security, and some of the myths and misconceptions surrounding compliance. It considers examples of the types of products that can help to ensure compliance with required standards. The seminar also considers forthcoming changes in legislation and how these might affect specification and the effect they may have on building safety and security. The overall aim of the seminar is to provide a greater understanding of how regulations affect the specification of door hardware and how things may change in the near future.

 

Automatic Entrance Solutions – The Benefits and considerations (Besam)

The seminar provides an overview of the factors that you need to take into account for door automation including fire and safety requirements, security requirements, benefits of door automation including accessibility. Additionally, the seminar covers typical design considerations and key British Standards issues.

Access and the Equality Act (Besam)

The seminar aims to clarify the relationship between Equality Act legislation, building design and accessibility and provide insight on specific design issues in respect of powered door systems. The seminar also aims to raise awareness of the general benefits of powered door systems in providing accessibility solutions.

Steel Doors and Windows; Performance and Specification considerations approved (ASSA ABLOY Security Doors)

The seminar is a genuine learning experience and has been developed to help clarify the important issues to consider when specifying doors. The seminar covers topics including performance specification considerations, current Equality Act regulations, fire door legislation and security and blast door ratings. It also provides best practice advice on door and frame installation, the design of structural openings, hardware selection and door accessories.
