Real Digital Commercial Print Press
Description
Real Digital is a large commercial print press who produce confidential documents for the financial sector. Their clients choose them because of the high level of security within their premises. Every door includes a biometric access control reader both inside and out. The building operates twenty four hours a day seven days a week and includes offices, a restaurant, gym and staff accommodation. ASSA ABLOY specified a physical security system, incorporating electronic locks and steel door sets, that integrates with existing access control measures and complies with safety standards and legislation. Management of the project was also provided.

Challenge
Improve the level of security in an existing building. Integrate a physical security system to work with an already installed access control system, including biometric readers on a number of high security doors. Incorporate steel doorsets to meet with the conflicting objectives of staff safety and building security.
Solution
An integrated system was designed based on ASSA Modular lockcases and Twin Combi mechanical keys and cylinders. ASSA Modular locks were chosen as they provide long term maintenance free solutions and conform to the standards set by all governing bodies.During the project, the need for upgrading some of the existing doors became apparent and ASSA ABLOY provided complete door solutions combining security steel doors, with ASSA Evolution high security locks and exit devices.

The highest levels of security are assured by combining access control methods with an integrated physical security solution that operates fully with pre-installed security methods.
The system installed is modular and is designed to cope with change and expansion as well as providing a high level against physical attack.
It is also combines asthetically pleasing architectural touches such as designer door furniture to ensure comfortable but secure surroundings for visitors and staff.
